 قبل عام 1818 لم يكن للمسخ فرانكشتاين أى وجود على هذه الحياة، حتى خلقته الكاتبة الإنجليزية مارى شيلى بواحدةٍ من رواياتها التي تدور أحداثها حول طالب ذكى يدعى فيكتور فرانكنشتاين يكتشف فى جامعة ركنيسبورك الألمانية طريقة يستطيع بمقتضاها بعث الحياة فى المادة. يبدأ فرانكنشتاين بخلق مخلوق هائل الحجم ولكنه يرتكب خطأً فيكتشف أنَّ مخلوقه غاية فى القبح، وقبل أن تدب الحياة فيه ببرهة يهرب من مختبر الجامعة!! تستمر أحداث الرواية بالتصاعد وتبدأ بمقتل شقيق فيكتور على يد المسخ ليعلم الطالب فرانكنشتاين أن المسخ هو من قام بها، ثم يلتقى المسخ بالطالب ،صانعه، بعدما استدل عليه من المذكرات التى وجدها فى المختبر وكان قد تعلم القراءة خلال فترة غيابه، فيذهب إليه ويطلب منه أن يخلق له امرأة لأنه يشعر بالوحدة !! فهل يستجيب فرانكشتاين لطلبات المسخ الذي صنعه وإن لم يستجب لها فما الذي سيحلّ به وبعائلته؟!!©2018 Storyside (P)2018 Storyside Classics Thriller & Suspense
