"الهؤلاء" يحيطون بك من كلّ جانب..يراقبون أفكارك ويعدّون أنفاسك إنّهم الحزب المسيطر في دولة "أيبوط " الغريبة، يخنقون الشعب ويزيدون همّه همًّا لكنَّ بطل هذه الرواية لم يقم بأيّ أمرٍ يسيء إلى دولته وحاكمها الديجم الأكبر..هو لم يرتكب شيئًا سوى أنّه قام بقراءة كتابٍ يقول أنَّ الأرض تسير باتجاه مخالف لدوران عقربي الساعة، وهاله الأمر، فهل الأرض تعاكس الزمن أم أن الساعة التي تم اختراعها بعد دوران الأرض هي التي صممها صانعوها حسب هذا النظام الشاذ؟!
في تلك اللحظة مرَّ به أحد "الهؤلاء" وغاص في أعماقه ليجدَ نفسه مطاردًا وتبدأ سلسلةٌ من الأحداث الغريبة بالتقافز أمامه...فما الذي سيتعرَّض له وهل سينجو من كلّ ذلك؟!!
