يتحدَّث الكتاب بعذوبة عن علاقة الدكتورة توحيدة بوالديها ودعمهما لها والوقوف إلى جانبها وكيف أهداها والدها بعد تخرّجها عيادة مجهّزة بأحدث الأدوات الطبية وأفخم الأثاث في أرقى أحياء مصر لكنّها اعتذرت ورفضتها حيث كان هدفها معالجة الفقراء.
