В конце девяностых годов только что ушедшего от нас века на прилавках магазинов и киосков появились первые попытки аудио издания сказок русского фольклориста А. Н. Афанасьева. Для "посвященных" не составит труда вспомнить их название "Срамные сказки". В том самом прочтении сочный и богатый на многоярусные обороты русский язык резал уши своей неподдельной "народностью". Ранее неизвестный писатель А. Коровкин произвел, по его словам, адаптацию авторских текстов девяти сказок А. Афанасьева. Он осуществил замену трехэтажных оборотов на одноэтажные. При данной правке сказки практически балансируют на грани откровенной вульгарности и фривольной взрослой сказки.
