Власти обвиняли его в идеологических извращениях. 11 июня 1934 г. после продолжительной болезни, в возрасте 37 лет, Лев Семенович Выготский скончался. Наследие Л.С. Выготского - это более ста научных работ, среди которых Собрание сочинений в 6-ти томах, научный труд "Психология искусства". В лекции "Развитие житейских и научных понятий в школьном возрасте" Л.С. Выготский излагает некоторые основные тезисы относительно того, как следует при исследовании подходить к вопросу развития мышления в связи с процессом обучения.
