В практике школьного обучения письмо до сих пор занимает слишком узкое место по сравнению с той огромной ролью, которое оно играет в процессе культурного развития ребенка. До сих пор обучение письму ставится узко-практически. Ребенка учат выводить буквы и складывать из них слова, но не обучают его письменной речи. В своей лекции "Предыстория письменной речи" Л.С. Выготский говорит о необходимости обучения письму ребенка уже в дошкольном возрасте, но так, чтобы процесс этот происходил максимально естественно и осмысленно.
