Story
"Death by self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head" is the on-scene assessment, but the victim's relatives are adamant in their rejection of suicide as an explanation. Discovered in a closet, a full week after death, the body is barely recognisable. Extreme heat has accelerated decomposition, and Dr Temperance Brennan's forensic expertise is required. Advanced putrefaction has made it virtually impossible to determine the trajectory of the bullet.

Time was against this great story

Loved the story, great premise and really thought provoking. As usual the detail and obvious research done by Kathy Reichs made this yarn educational as well as interesting. Narrator was top notch. Only down side was that it was abridged. It seemed rushed and ended in a hurry, such a shame.

Story
After an assault at her family home in Maine, Dr. Miranda Jones is determined to put the experience behind her. Distraction comes when she is summoned to Italy - to verify the authenticity of a Renaissance bronze of a Medici courtesan known as The Dark Lady. But instead of cementing Miranda’s reputation as the leading expert in the field, the job nearly destroys it when her professional judgment is called into question.

Great story but narrator could have been better

Story was good, elements were predictable and the romance explosive in typical Nora Roberts style. The added mystery made this worth seeing out to the end but the narrator's breathless style had me considering buying the book to bypass her.

Story
Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She's even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy. And then she sees something shocking. It's only a minute until the train moves on, but it's enough. Now everything's changed.

Loved it

Great work by the three narrators, they really brought the characters to life.
The descriptions were fantastic and the author's technique really engaged my imagination had me feeling as though I was right there with the characters as the story unwound itself.
The story evolved layer by layer and although I didn't occupy the edge of my seat a lot, it was good value and I'd have no qualms recommending it as commute company (I listen to audiobooks in the car on my way to and from work).
Sad when it ended .., like saying farewell to friends.
