An interesting insight into the world of a therapist. Makes me want to see one myself as long as they're as good as Lori or Wendell.

So good.

What a woman. Such an amazing story told in such a great way. l loved that Michelle narrated this story herself. I didn't want it to end.

A brilliant sophisticated yarn.

Not my usual style of book but I loved this story. Excellent narration made it easy to listen to. I just wanted to reach into the book and give Eli Bell a big cuddle.

I have no idea what all the hype is about?!

This story has amazing parts to it, the description of the war and its devastation of Leningrad was excellent.
Then there was the 'love story'...the main male character was domineering, possessive and borderline abusive towards his love interest, I found it disturbing. The main female character was immature and the arguments they had went on and on. No character was completely likeable and I struggled to root for anyone. I only listened to the whole thing because I paid for it...if someone had of lent me the book I wouldn't have got half way.
I have heard people absolutely rave about this book and I'm left feeling quite confused as to why.

Narrator was brilliant, made Jaxie come to life. Not a fan of the ending, too many questions left unanswered and very abrupt. A good listen while it lasted.

So so good, a great listen. Not the happiest of stories, but then we don't always get a happy ending in life and Beartown embraces its flaws and celebrates its successes, as we all should.

I really enjoyed this book, Eleanor is an easy character to love and root for. The story is developed and told through her quirky personality. Highly recommend.

Enjoyed this story but picked the ending pretty easily and struggled with Jacob as a character and his reaction to Amy's plight....just seemed a bit too much. Overall it was good though and a nice easy listen.

Just too over the top and felt pretty self serving. long explanations at times that got hard to listen to. Not a fan of this one.

Solid story, worth a listen/read.
