Informative and easy history.

This book is an informative and useful history. Good for commuting or exercising. Some of the terms are better to listen to than read, which makes it easier. The depth of the book means that some of the history can be hard to follow if you're wanting to use the information in an academic context.

Great intro to mindfulness

Very good intro to mindfulness. As someone that has studied it for a few years I still found the content interesting and engaging. Personal anecdotes and the importance placed on practical, real world mindfulness was great. There was no silly spirituality or nonsense here. This is perfect if you're looking for a non-faith based course on mindfulness.

First there was Girt. Now comes... True Girt. In this side-splitting sequel to his best-selling history, David Hunt takes us to the Australian frontier. This was the Wild South, home to hardy pioneers, gun-slinging bushrangers, directionally challenged explorers, nervous indigenous people, Caroline Chisholm and sheep. Lots of sheep.

A very interesting and detailed history of Australia. The reader knows exactly how to get the humour of the story across and does it very well. Stories are great and taught me a lot about Australian history and how the country got to where it is today.
