Well written relentless style that didn't lose a beat. Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen did a splendid job here putting together a psychological thriller of the 1st order, brilliantly narrated by Julia Whelan. Highly recommended.

Michael Robotham's writing never fails to impress me. The unlikely premise for this book became quite plausible under his great penmanship and with the assistance of Barrett's voice. A great story for those mystery thriller readers who enjoy going a bit deaper into the human psyche. Thoroughly recommended.

Any additional comments?

I have read all of the Department Q books so far and they have all, up until now, been 5 star reads. Now don't get me wrong, on second reading, I may well change this rating to 5. The reason on first reading I gave it 4 was because of the length of time it took me to 'get into' the book. Perhaps it was because I was distracted on a number of occasions, or perhaps because this book, was multi layered, with at least 2 easily discernible plots and they were both complex, and if any of the writing was missed, one had to backtrack to pick up the thread once again for it to make sense. I am actually in awe of Adler-Olsen's writing and the way he brings his characters to life; in this case with many more characters than usual. Recommended highly to those who enjoy original plots, excellent writing, mysteries & suspense.

Where does Behind Her Eyes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Riveting psychological thriller that had me enthralled until the final chapters. It was as if the author just lost the plot and was at a loss as to how to finalise her story except by resorting to supernatural means. So, in effect you had a hybrid: 9/10ths of the book being a believable albeit highly dramatised psychological thriller and the last 1/10th being pure paranormal fiction. It just didn't gel with me.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Along with all his books, it's one of the best books I've read. Boy, can he write superbly, with great emotion but certainly never flowery or overdone.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Close Your Eyes?

The last few chapters, following Joe's chase and then later, the dreadful sorrow.
