A decent sci-fi. Too much porn.

This book isn't bad, and the story is sometimes compelling, nothing compared to the previous book, but what can you expect from a sequel. However, the author included so much erotica and terrible romance it was hard to listen to at times. I can't remember the last time I was so put off by romance. I skipped whole chapters trying to find the story. This book could have been an awesome short read if the porn was cut back. Instead it's an epic teenage sex fantasy without the youthful belief in idealistic love.

Story
AD 3580. The Intersolar Commonwealth has spread through the galaxy to over a thousand star systems. It is a culture of rich diversity with a place for everyone. Even death itself has been overcome. But at the centre of the Commonwealth is a massive black hole. This Void is not a natural artefact. Inside there is a strange universe where the laws of physics are very different to those we know. It is slowly consuming the other stars of the galactic core - one day it will devour the entire galaxy.

The narrator was very good. I think the criticism is overly harsh. I'm glad i gave this book a try.
