I really enjoyed this book, a little sad as there were so many opportunities for a different life for Suzy, if the right conversations were to be had with the right person at the right time. but also because if that very true to life. beautifully told.

i loved part 1 of this book it was clever and funny and really good and i really liked the main character but at the end of part 1 i disliked him so that made it difficult to enjoy the rest of the book, which i also felt far too long. It could have finished during part 2 quite successfully.

this book felt like a lecture on international relations, politics and climate change with a bit of a story thrown in. the story felt like a stretch and i still really dont 'believe'the main characters necessity for being there. she didnt do much. i loved this authors novel Museum of Modern Love so this one was disappointing. it might have been better if it were shorter.

A lovely story beautifully told. But I think I could listen to Tom Hanks narrate the dictionary and love it just as much.

it felt very whiney.
i did like the way it lead you to think about marriage and partnership. but Toby developed from annoying and a 'victim' to a bit of a pratt to be honest.

I almost gave up early on. It was hard for me to grasp the characters and the time settings, but it all started to make a little more sense maybe 30 minutes in. Eventually I was hooked and I really loved this story. It was clever and sensitive and exciting and sad.

I really enjoyed this. it was largely a memoir but i found the stories intersecting and it was still very useful with great tips for my own mindfulness journey.

Great introduction to Nichiren Buddhism. I've been practicing buddhism for 15 years and still find this useful (do get tired of the main character though... so whingy)
