Enjoyed but wouldn't bother with a repeat listen

There is a decided lack of plot and character development compared to Heyer's best. I found it flat, waiting for the plot twists and humour that I enjoy in Sylvester, Frederica, These Old Shades etc.

Extremely witty, well read.

Really enjoyed this, not so much for the storyline which is very fanciful, but the hilarious dialogue throughout. The characters compliment one another well, their continual flow of wit makes up most of the book, and I was in stitches frequently. Eustacie reminds me of Leonie from These old Shades and Sarah Thane of the Grand Sophy.

Very timely confirmation of my growing convictions

Excellent insight and awakening to what technology is doing to the family and personal development. Very motivating to take action against being screen driven. Not just for the kids too!! Starts with us.

Really great book but a little repetitive

A lot of interesting listening and some really helpful information. Just not totally convinced on the narration (I've heard much worse tho) and every chapter there is a lot of repeats that without, the book would probably be a couple of hours shorter. But will definitely keep on file and refer back too! Thanks Melissa 😊
