I've never listened to an audio play like this before, but this was the perfect one to start with. It was so freaking hilarious!! Quite a bit of swearing and raunch, if you don't like SNL type humour steer clear, the rest of you will LOVE it! I went my pants laughing and I will definitely listen again. Telling all my friends about this...

What an incredible woman Sandra is to have been through everything she has and still come out in top. She's an inspiration and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her story mingled with the stories of those she helped along the way.

Under the streets of London there's a world most people could never even dream of: a city of monsters and saints, murderers and angels, and pale girls in black velvet. Richard Mayhew is a young businessman who is about to find out more than he bargained for about this other London. A single act of kindness catapults him out of his safe and predictable life and into a world that is at once eerily familiar and yet utterly bizarre.

Story
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing, and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

I loved this so much! I'd actually watched the TV series on Prime first and then decided I had to read the book. The narration was so brilliant, I could see the characters from the series in my mind as I listened. I found myself giggling and laughing out loud, who knows what anyone who saw me would have thought... I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the fact that I already knew what was coming did not detract from it at all, in fact it made me realise what a fantastic job they did making the TV series. I would highly recommend this one to anymore who enjoys a good story and a bit of a laugh and doesn't take the world too seriously.
