A powerful, blazingly honest memoir: the story of an 1100-mile solo hike that broke down a young woman reeling from catastrophe and built her back up again. At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. After her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she decided to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than an idea: vague, outlandish, and full of promise.

I was looking forward to listening to this after watching the movie as I thought it would go through her journey along the PCT but felt it was more of an ode to her deceased mother. I found it hard to fathom that she made so many poor life choices while dealing with her mother's death. I actually preferred the movie in this case.

He was fat once but he is definitely not fat now. No, right now Fat Charlie Nancy is angry, confused and more than a little scared - right now his life is spinning out of control, and it is all his dad's fault.

If you found The Amazing Book is Not on Fire at least mildly interesting, or even if you didn't read it at all, then you will love our audiobook! Not only do you get us sensually narrating the whole thing in your ears, but there are over three hours of exclusive behind-the-scenes commentary on the book, and irrelevant Dan and Phil banter straight from our mouths to your ears! Who doesn't want that? Okay, that came out kind of weird, but trust us you'll like it. I guess we have to rephrase the blurb..?

From start to finish, this has got to be my least favourite audiobook. I mean it's even worse than that comedienne who is supposedly a giant (though I dislike her less because I got a refund for that load of codswallop). I tried to get a refund for this rubbish but I wasn't allowed. Gutted.
There was not one joke, story or "funny quip" that I laughed at. In fact, how are these guys even famous when such a lack of talent is clearly obvious?!?
Regretable purchase and even more regrettably can't get my money back. I'd rate lower than one star of that was even possible.
