I enjoyed this story even though it was a simple one. There was character development and sexual tension between the main couple. The performance was also very good. 4/5

I had high hopes for this book at the beginning, but I ended up struggling to finish. The story went from one depressing situation to the next. It continued back and forth between romantic heartache and stories of tragic death, broken by abrupt sex sences. I really struggled to finish.

I loved this author's Miles High series, so I was excited to listen to this book, but I was sorely disappointed. The main male character is completely unrealistic. He is too young for his position. His language, friends and personality don't suit well either with that of a high court judge in this late thirties. The main female character is irritating. Her personality is that of a sixteen year old; so much so that I felt uncomfortable with the idea of men in their late thirties wanting to "nail her". Disappointing. I will return it.

I enjoyed this book but only after I was able to let go of the fact that is is very similar to book one. Bloom and York do a wonderful job of the narration.

Wow. I loved this story. The female narrator does a better job than the male, but he doesn't impact terribly. I loved the male lead character, and though O enjoyed the lead female, I felt it would have been nice for her to have more depth. There was A LOT of sex. So if you're easily offended by explicitly then this isn't the book for you. I loved it though ;)

Well this was a wonderful start to an exciting new series. I love the lead female character, and her wards are adorable. I wasn't a huge fan of the lead male character and his "poor me" attitude, but that could also be because I have issues with Irish men. The sex scenes were delicious. Honestly, I can forgive much when the intimacy is so well written. The narrator does a good job of drawing you in and for a female narrator she does a good job of the males characters.

Wow, I love this series. The characters and plot are unique, funny, sexy- what more could you ask for? Perhaps a bit more content? I can't justify continuing to use a full credit on a book that is a third of the length of a regular Audible story. I'm very disappointed.

For a complex world this was a predictable story. The narrator was good, but limited in the depth of variation between male characters. 3/5

The second in a series that you LOVE is always less enthralling than the first, but I still loved this book. The growth of Jane's character was beautiful and I had to slap myself at one point when I started to tear up. Another excellent performance by the narrator. 5/5
