Celebrated storyteller Stephen King returns to his roots in this tour de force featuring more than 100 characters - some heroic, some diabolical - and a supernatural element as baffling and chilling as any he's ever conjured.

Would you listen to Under the Dome again? Why?

Under the Dome was equivalent to King's best, namely The Stand and IT. The way the narrator brought all the characters to life with his amazing accents and ability to capture the personalities was a true talent. I would listen again just to hear Raul and his art bring the story to life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Barbie

Which character – as performed by Raul Esparza – was your favourite?

You couldn't go past Raul's interpretation of Jim Rennie. The smug southern drawl that became Rennie truly made you dislike the character with a passion.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I will listen to it again!

Any additional comments?

I had difficulty reading the book and lost interest early on, never finishing it, but after listening to the audiobook version I regret not completing it. I truly had no idea how good it was! Highly recommended.

What made the experience of listening to Strangers the most enjoyable?

I had read this book in my 20's and had searched for it till now, many years later as I couldn't remember the author, nor the title of the book. Excited that I found it as an audible book that I downloaded because it sounded interesting. It was so good that I'm now sad that I have finished listening to it. A totally recommended listen and I will listen to it again .. and again!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Strangers?

The ending, both wonderous and surprising.

Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This was a first time listen of Dick Hill's work, it was fantastic.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending and how the strangers wove into the story line.

To the children, the town was their whole world. To the adults, knowing better, Derry, Maine, was just their hometown: familiar, well ordered for the most part. A good place to live. It was the children who saw - and felt - what made Derry so horribly different. In the storm drains, in the sewers, IT lurked, taking on the shape of every nightmare, each one's deepest dread. Sometimes IT reached up, seizing, tearing, killing....

after spending 47+ hours in the car with the narrator, I'm truly sad the story has ended. I was so enthralled and engrossed in the reading that I too became a part of the characters lives. Amazing story read by an equally amazing performer, Steven Weber

What did you like best about this story?

the portrayal of each character, individual and unique

What about Steven Weber’s performance did you like?

Steven read this book so well, feeling every moment and taking the listener on an amazing adventure and making the characters so real. I am truly sad I've finished the book!

Where does Bag of Bones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Another great story from the master storyteller. The ending was enthralling and saw me calling out loud when listening to the child in danger. A great listen!

Have you listened to any of Stephen King’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This was my first listen to Mr. King's narration style. At first, I found his voice a little hard to get used to and found that my mind wandered instead of truly listening, but once I got used to his voice, I found this book too was a great read.
