Fast paced and at times gruesome book. Smattered with la long love and faithful friends. Add that with a bit of magic and you have a great entertaining book to the very end. Highly recommend this series. Well written by Jim Butcher and the narrator,, James Masters , once again, does a brilliant job.

Story
Twenty-six-year-old Beatrice Hyde-Clare is far too shy to investigate the suspicious death of a fellow guest in the Lake District. A spinster who lives on the sufferance of her relatives, she would certainly not presume to search the rooms of her host's son and his friend looking for evidence. Reared in the twin virtues of deference and docility, she would absolutely never think to question the imperious Duke of Kesgrave about anything, let alone how he chose to represent the incident to the local constable. And yet that's exactly what she does.

This book I enjoyed in manny ways. It had some rather interesting twists. In fact I didn’t quite guess. Who ‘done it’. My only real dislike was the ending, but then as there are quite a few more books in this series it should tie more strings up. All in all even though things were a little unbelievable in this book, I did enjoy it.

This is a brilliant start to what promises to be a great series. Can’t wait to listen to the next book . The story of a young orphan boy Fletcher and his journey to becoming a warrior in a magical setting. Lots of spells and demons (though I didn’t find them that way). Not recommended for younger readers. Not Harry Potter lol

I really enjoyed this book and this series. It was lovely to read books that didn’t need gratuitous sex to make for a pleasant read and just a good story as well. Bravo Ms Britton Also well read by Kim Bretton I would definitely recommend this book which is a stand aloe, but also a lovely finalisation to the series.

I chose this book as I wanted to see how time travel was going to be dealt with I found s many bits of this annoying. The woman, Emma, is supposed to be a historian. The fact that she kept throwing in 20th century jargon, when it would obviously make no sense what all to the period she was in, was so annoying. I get she would have maybe done this right at the start, but once she knew where she was ..... I did enjoy the back story of the aunt and sisters. This kept me going, as well as how was the ending going to be dealt with. Probably would have given a rating of 3.5 as 3 would be logo low.

Story
In Riversend, an isolated country town brought to its knees by endless drought, a charismatic and dedicated young priest steps out of his church and calmly opens fire on his congregation, killing five parishioners before being shot dead himself. A year later, troubled journalist Martin Scarsden arrives in Riversend to write a feature on the anniversary of the tragedy. But the stories he hears from the locals about the priest and incidents leading up to the shooting don't fit with the accepted version of events his own newspaper reported in an award-winning investigation.

I found this a lovely heart warming story. It did have some sad moments, but there were some very funny humorous bits which balanced the book. In the end I couldn’t stop listening, just to see how everything panned out. The reader was very easy to listen to as well. I would recommend this book for its light romance, the interesting stories of the people that come to and work at the Cafe.

I really hope that the author J Estep writes another and follows up on some of the tales that need to be completed. I highly recommend that you read the three books in order as they will make a lot more sense. Love this trilogy thus far.

This is a fun story about a fairy trying to get her wings. She gets mixed up in the life of a “mortal”, with whom she falls in love with. There are villain and unicorns . Lots of laughs and there has to be a wicked villain. This is not a book for children as there is some explicit sex scenes as well.
