My 11 year old daughter wanted me to do a challenge - while she read the first book of Percy Jackson I would listen to it, I found myself getting caught up instantly. Witty, full of adventure, Narrator very entertaining, expressive and I liked how he changed the voices of each character. So adults can also enjoy these stories, I am looking forward to the next Percy Jackson audio:-)

Something I wouldn't normally go for but my mother read the book and recommended it. I found myself becoming very fond of the characters and the town and just wanted to keep listening. 110 chapters but don't be daunted it is well worth sticking with it for the ending and the narrator is excellent.

Out of all Barbara Erskine's audiobooks, this was packed full of mystery and intrigue. With 3 story lines I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next, the narrator incredibly good at setting the mood. Beautiful descriptions of the river I could picture the scenes in my mind. It ended perfectly I thought, Barbara Erskine is a truly remarkable writer.

I was completely captivated, couldn't stop myself listening. So well told and described I was following a movie in my mind - I was taking the journey with the characters . On board the Titanic it was a roller coaster ride of emotions knowing what had to happen, and suspenseful learning who survived and who did not. A perfect story to remember all those lives lost and so many others it affected.
