The Mistborn trilogy has become a firm favourite with fantasy fans the world over. The imagination that Sanderson brought to the series, his skill at marshalling epic storylines and dramatic action and his ability to create vivid characters made him a natural choice to complete Robert Jordan's epic Wheel of Time sequence. But with Mistborn, Sanderson has shown his bountiful talents in his own fiction.

im still trying to decide if i dislike the voices, or if the voices excelled at portraying the characters.. like when you watch a movie and distaste the bad guy, realising its not the actor you hate, but becus the actor did such a good job to make u hate the character..

i read a review that stated there were so many twists and turns and the author did something i havent experienced yet. usually a twist comes out of nowhere.. but in this book a twist would swoop in and i would think i knew the secret and would be unsatisfied, then another twist would come in and id think once again.... oh okay, well now i know so ehh..and then bam another twist.

would have preferred to read this book rather than listen to it.. but it is an easy read..

I can see this as a movie oneday.

Exclusive to Audible! Listen to a discussion between the author and the narrator of The Widow at the end of this recording. We've all seen him: the man - the monster - staring from the front page of every newspaper, accused of a terrible crime. But what about her: the woman who grips his arm on the courtroom stairs - the wife who stands by him? Jean Taylor's life was blissfully ordinary. Nice house, nice husband. Glen was all she'd ever wanted: her Prince Charming.

in gone girl both the main characters were as [insert which ever word you like here] as each other..

in girl on the train, the main character wasnt as [insert another word here so i dont give away the spoiler] as you first think.

the only comparison this book has to gone girl and girl on the train is a) the story is told from multiple perspectives and b) the main girl is powerful rather than a damsel in distress. becus this is the 21st century after all..

No. The Widow is not another one of those. It takes its own form. This book was so well read im glad i didnt buy the book.

and it includes a special podcast from the reader and writer at the end and she gives u some juicy details about the book and writing it.

for those that are not able to read stories about harming children, but do love a thriller.. this one is for u.

When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name. But he's not alone. He's surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade - a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze. Like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they came to be there - or what's happened to the world outside. All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything - even the Grievers, half-machine, half-animal horror that patrol its corridors, to try and find out.
