I was 19 when I read this book for the first time. It was highly recommended by the librarian and I literally dragged myself through the book to get some meaning out of it. I was dumb back then. All these years later, now I'm 34 and just happened to see the title on audible. I'm glad that I found this book again. I'm a dad to a toddler and have myself struggled through some internal conflicts. I don't want even the shadow of my conflicts to affect my son. This book was a great parallel for myself, it has been a mirror and helps me see something I've been ignoring... Quality time for my son.

All in one place. Good starting point.

Narration is poor but you can still manage not to doze off. The good thing about this book is it gives you the full view without marketing pitch or theatrics.

Pathetic narrator. Story is okay.

I had hear about this book from friends. The story is good. The performance (narrator) was absolutely pathetic. Extreme forced and fake dramatics. Absolutely no intonation. The narrator goes off in a fixed tune that repeats every 7 seconds unless the scene in the story changes. The narrator probably ruined the story experience also.

Good story, great pace, award winning narration

Great story... but...

In the end, it felt like the story was giving a clean chit to someone/something.
