Make a connection with these characters as they struggle to find the courage they never knew they had and the future they thought they'd never see. A powerful and emotional true story of the men and women that overcame all the odds only to face the greatest dangers mankind has ever faced before. On the shores of the English Channel, only days before D-Day, they stand in the crossroads of history preparing to take on Hitler and the Nazis. Lives are changed, friends become brothers, hearts are broken, and promises are made. Promises to never say goodbye.

I loved this book from the start to finish. It’s beautiful to hear true stories of a love forever after, not to mention, that it was love at first sight, and a quick courtship in the throes of wartime. Thank you Robert for writing such a wonderful book.

The story of one of the Afghanistan war's most decorated units and their 15-month ordeal, culminating in the Battle of Wanat, the deadliest battle of the war. A single company of US paratroopers - calling themselves the "Chosen Few" - arrived in eastern Afghanistan in late 2007 hoping to win the hearts and minds of the remote mountain people and extend the Afghan government's reach into this wilderness. Instead, they spent the next 15 months in a desperate struggle, living under almost continuous attack, forced into a slow withdrawal, and always outnumbered by Taliban fighters.

This is a well told account of battle war history. I was just as frustrated and angry as the soldiers themselves, at the decisions made by the brass higher up. The way in which the author describes the deaths of each brave warrior brought tears to my eyes.

April 2004: Dan Mills and his platoon of snipers flew into Southern Iraq, part of an infantry battalion sent to win hearts and minds. They were soon fighting for their lives. Back home we were told they were peacekeeping. But there was no peace to keep. Because within days of arriving in theatre, Mills and his men were caught up in the longest, most sustained firefight British troops had faced for over 50 years.

This was the first story I have listened to, regarding the Iraq war. I’ve watched a few docos, however, I loved hearing about the individual soldiers, and the in depth description of life as a sniper. I found myself quite thirsty just hearing about how hot it was, and laughed out loud many times at the men’s pranks towards each other, in order to keep themselves sane in such a horrid crazy place. How lucky we are and the people of Iraq, that we have men willing to fight for us, die for us, and not shower for weeks on end in order to keep us safe from terrorism. Well done Sniper One.

Great cliffhanger!! I’m thinking the next book is gonna be a doozy. As always, I loved the narration by Max and Sebastian. The sass and sarcasm in this book is perfect. Can’t wait for the sequel.

There were many times I found myself laughing out loud listening to this story. I’m still laughing thinking about it.
Zachary Webber is so talented. I love listening to his sexy, heated, sarcastically hilarious narration.
Both narrators have that ability to make you feel every emotion the characters are going through.
The story is a feel good, going back home rom com. God I cried about snoopy.. but I loved how Emma turns the sad tears into happy ones so quickly.
Thanks for the laughs I really needed at this point in my life xxx

The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

Maxine is my favourite Narrator so far on my audible books journey. Joe has that sexy voice any woman could dream about.
I loved the way they told this beautiful, funny, sad and lovely romantic story of two people who helped each other take that leap of faith into falling in love.
