'It came to me then, like a chilly draught from an unseen gap that I had always known in my deepest heart that it would be like this, a slipping away from a life full of people I had come to love, in a place I had helped to shape, in a land I had helped to free.' The time has come at last for Elspeth Gordie to leave the Land on her quest to find and stop the computer machine Sentinel from unleashing the deadly Balance of Terror arsenal. But before she can embark on her journey, she must find a lost key.

It began with the breathtaking Daughter of Smoke and bone... This November, the story continues in the astounding sequel, Days of Blood and Starlight Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love and dared to imagine a new way of living - one without massacres and torn throats and bonfires of the fallen, without revenants or bastard armies or children ripped from their mothers' arms to take their turn in the killing and dying.

Thank you... It's on to number 3, without hesitation. Only a small moment in which to leave my review... Which is still too long to be away.

THANK YOU,

In general, Karou has managed to keep her two lives in balance. On the one hand, she's a 17-year-old art student in Prague; on the other, errand-girl to a monstrous creature who is the closest thing she has to family. Raised half in our world, half in 'Elsewhere', she has never understood Brimstone's dark work - buying teeth from hunters and murderers - nor how she came into his keeping. She is a secret even to herself, plagued by the sensation that she isn't whole.

They say the eyes are windows to your soul... They deceive, for it is the ears, they are the true way to someone's soul; my soul, in particular, has been deeply touched by the world of Laini Taylor, and by the voice, Khristine Hvam, these two woman have delighted me with a world to which I happily flee.
Such a wonderful world of misbegotten yearning, of longing and painstaking heartfelt joy.

THANK YOU,

Sincerely,
Ebony.
