Loved the book - which was well narrated. Huge respect for Mr Jubelin and his determination to find answers. Really disappointed by the way he was treated by NSW Police.

Absolutely devastated that I have now come to the end of this series on Audible. The whole series is by far, one of the best crime/ mystery/ pathology novels that I have encountered on this site. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to evolving tales of medical intrigue, spiced with surnames so familiar to anyone medically minded. The narration throughout was excellent. The plots riveting and the use of the English language, superlative. I have recommended the novels to many and will continue to do so! A very satisfied, albeit saddened listener.

Well worthwhile!

Took me a little time to settle into this book - but well worthwhile. Loved the way the story evolved and the manner in which it was narrated.

A joy to listen to.......

An amazingly talented comedian, who shares elements of her life in an engaging, totally entertaining manner. Found myself laughing out loud at every turn! A gem and a right champion!

Well worth a listen.

Great story that evolves to a satisfying conclusion. Brilliantly told by both narrators. Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I rarely post a review - but felt it necessary here. Great story, endearing characters - but the change in narrator spoils the whole package. I felt as though I was listening to a priest/vicar narrating the story - the intonation just wasn't right and the lack of believable continuity in the accents of the main characters, will probably dissuade me from downloading the next book in the series. Probably better to read this book & subsequent books, after the brilliant narration by Steven Pacey in previous performances.

Would you listen to The Thirst again? Why?

Another epic Harry storyline. Well worthwhile listening to - and a story I would happily re-visit.

The evolving life of Harry Hole.

Which character – as performed by Sean Barrett – was your favourite?

Harry Hole

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Don't think there was any particular element that "moved" me.

Any additional comments?

Great character, great stories, talented narrator and an awesome author!

What disappointed you about The Slow Regard of Silent Things?

Sorry - but I belong to the group alluded to by the author! It was an indulgence that spoilt my perception of this ethereal character, that I loved in the original series. Pity - but really not worth the effort.

Brilliant Trilogy!

If you could sum up Reign of Iron in three words, what would they be?

"Absolutely loved it." The series flows easily and the characterisation is easily believed. Sad to finish the final book - as I would love to see the characters move forward - but I think this is always the reflection of a great story!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reign of Iron?

Throughout all three books, I have smiled at the expletives coming from the character, Doug - which was infective and became part of the dialogue with the other characters. One of the best fantasy stories I've read/ listened to, for a long time! (I also thought the final post-script was very funny!)

What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?

Brilliantly delivered and a pleasure to listen to! A real master of the art of story telling.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure - used any and every opportunity to listen to the story.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to seeing what this author does next!
