While I found it more predictable than others seem to, it's a fantastic story and I enjoyed the narration and characters enormously. It would make a ripper of a movie!

Was hoping for more revelations!

I thought there would be more shocking revelations, it's more of a psychological insight and the entire life's story of this nut job who is somehow on the drivers seat of the USA. Told from the perspective of a professional psychologist, and a close family member. others may find it intriguing, but I found Trumps psychological profile fairly unsurprising His devious past regarding money handling and tax fraud and similar unethical behaviours also not shocking.. But because we know he is a self serving nightmare.

Couldn't get past the narration..

The book is incredibly outdated now, but that wouldn't have concerned me too much if the gotcha moments had been more interesting. Most annoying was the over the top soap opera narration. It felt like I was listening to a Dick Tracy cartoon.. just agonisingly bad.

What a waste of 10 hours and 33 seconds

I truly thought something interesting would eventually happen and hung in there all the way to the end.. Listening to it felt like a bad day time soap opera. If you like good crime stories with an amazing twist, don't get this audiobook.

Compelling start, and then seems to fall apart

Started off as a ripper! Great characters and intriguing premise, but then ends up all over the place. Left me feeling disappointed and confused. As the start was so fun it's hard to rate, because it ultimately became the my least favourite Liane Moriarty book. She usually has a great and cohesive structure but this story doesn't deliver.

So so frikken good!

This narration is beyond perfect. Having read the books as they came out in my younger years, now hearing them in continuous succession is an absolute treat while I paint and create. It's nothing but delicious excitement knowing I have so many more hours of Rolands journey still ahead of me read by this enthralling narrator..

Very odd meandering story

I felt like the author just made the story up as she went along. It was strangely random and inconsistent throughout but oin the mood I was in...it was ok enough to keep me entertained while I pottered around.

I'm so confused..people LIKED this??

Umm..where were these twists? There were some cool characters and I enjoyed listening until close to the end when I realised the twists were just plain dumb..barely twists! I love easy basic whodunits, but this was terrible!

A little drawn out at times but kept me interested throughout. I'd recommend it for light reading.

I might not have been as attentive, but this one had way too much war action. I tuned out on wars strategies etc.

..I did fall back in love with the story as it returned back to the heart and dynamics of the characters. I can't wait for the third book now!
(I love watching any kind of Star Wars action...but following it being narrated is dull as heck)
Back to the juicy stuff now though!
