Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive - but not how to live. Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything. One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world....

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

All the great religious systems of the world speak of a divine consciousness within us, a deep center in our beings where all fear vanishes into core of oneness and love. It is here that we are all connected. It is from this place we form deep, spiritual relationships. In Practical Spirituality, Marianne discusses how we access the enlightened energies of the spiritual center through loving thoughts and actions, and then apply these energies to the transformation of all aspects of our existence. Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't exist. After all, life isn't a scene from the movies, is it? But then, through a misted-up bus window one snowy December day, she sees a man whom she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic...and then her bus drives away. Laurie thinks she'll never see the boy from the bus again. But at their Christmas party a year later, her best friend, Sarah, introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.

Maybe I’m not sentimental enough or probably more to the point long monologues of internal dialogue are not my thing.
I found the characters heads to be too similar to determine, at times, who was speaking.
Having said that I’m sure it would make a good movie using the actual dialogue.

Life is similar to a train journey. Most people on the train are merely passengers; they are simply going where life is taking them. They are not in charge of their speed, direction, or final destination. Be the driver, not a passenger! These inspirational and rare people are responding to life, not just reacting to life. Unstoppable, by renowned motivational speaker Craig Beck, is a robust road map for success, happiness, and abundance.
