What a truely amazing life Sir David Attenborough has had so far. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t recognised his voice. I hope my children will continue to enjoy the amazing knowledge he has dedicated his life to sharing with us as much as I do. Thank you David.

A few years ago I was asked if I'd like to make a documentary on the Mekong River, travelling from the vast delta in Vietnam to the remote and snowy peaks of Tibet. Up until that point, the farthest east I'd been was Torremolinos, in the Costa Del Sol....ย

I could listen to Sue talk all day, and I pretty much did for three. Be prepared to unexpectedly laugh out loud. People look at you funny. Be mindful that you may also cry. People also look at you funny if you have tears rolling down your face while doing the groceries. I loved every page and highly recommend Sue as an author, a TV presenter and a narrator. Huge fan.

The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.

That was awesome. Loved every minute. Even found myself rewinding if someone spoke to me or I was otherwise distracted. Never done that before. This will definitely be the first audiobook I will listen to again and again. Can’t wait to get my kids listening. Stephen Fry would be Head of the Table at my ‘ultimate dinner party’. What a talent.

"I'll tell you something, something important. Love is a decision. Not a feeling. That's what you young people don't realise. That's why you're always off divorcing each other. No offence, dear." So decrees the formidable Connie Thrum of Scribbly Gum Island. She is the chief decision-maker of a rather unconventional family and her word is law. It's been over seventy years since Connie and her sister Rose visited their neighbours and found the kettle boiling and a baby waking for her feed, but no sign of her parents.

I am totally hooked on Liane Moriarty now. This is my second novel, and won’t be my last.
If I was actually reading, I’d say they are ‘just can’t put it down’ books. The best thing about being audio is that I don’t have to! Sorry kids, I can’t hear you, I’m listening. ๐Ÿ˜

I’m sure there’d be loads of people who’d love this book, especially if they hadn’t read Twilight. It was a very similar story. If I had been reading it myself I wouldn’t have made it past the first couple of chapters. I stuck it out, but have no compulsion to find out what happens next. If I never hear Ashmole 782 again I won’t be sorry.
What a talented narrator. So many different accent.
