Have watched the show off and on but love the way the book has expanded my view of Offred and managed to somehow have been covered over 3 seasons. Twists and turns that seem out of place In the book but aren’t as the book is the beginning. Love it.

Not her best for me.

A little weird at times. All stories do link together but took time for me to get my head around it.

After going to Auschwitz this year, I could visualise the story and accuracy of the tale. It was conscious awakening and a must read.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dust and Glory to be better than the print version?

I read the audio version 30 years ago, so I would have to say no. It took me 30 years to remember the name after lots of google searching the race.

What other book might you compare Dust and Glory to, and why?

NA

Have you listened to any of Humphrey Bower’s other performances? How does this one compare?

NA

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Loved the whole thing.

Any additional comments?

This was a favorite book of mine for over 30 years, I am so glad I found it and anyone who is interested in Australia in the 50s should read it, or people from other countries who want to know what Australia was like back then. My dad remembered when the redex trial went through Tallimba NSW, so it had a special memory for me.

JoJo caught the essence of the first one and spun it into a fabulous second phase of Louisa's story. With plenty of stories to tie up in Part 3! Absolutely loved it.

I loved this book. I bought it for driving in the car, and couldn't put it down (or turn it off) until finished.
