Two minor quibbles. 500 litres in the fuel truck is just fumes. You can carry that much on the back of your ute.
I love Aimee's narration but don't like whispered dialogue. Can never hear it.

Chris you've done it again.

Loved this follow on to Scrublands. Good plot, wonderful Ozzie characters.
Dorje the narrator inhabits the protagonists. Thanks blokes.

I have a minor quibble with the reader.
The whispers of the female characters were too quiet.
I listen while on my walks and either had to stop to burrow around for my phone and rewind and up the volume, or ignore that part of the narrative.
The other characters were a treat, well expressed.
I giggled at the author's ideas about the SMH as the bastion of truth.
Good value, highly recommended.

I got onto this work through the narrator Aimee Horne. She has talent in spades. One of her voices is that of an adolescent girl. Spot on. Great story line, I'll chase up the other titles.
Thanks friends.

Sissy Spacek is the perfect narrator for this legendary tale. Her soft southern accent nuanced and powerful.

Had I been exposed to history studies presented at this level in this way I probably would have finished my boring high school.
A remarkable feat of scholarship hugely entertaining and informative to this layman. I've just bought the Greeks and the Roman Greco lectures.
Thank you Professor!

A satisfying and entertaining novel. Gives some fascinating insights into the world of ultra orthodox Jews.
I like the narrator Liat. She has a nuanced relaxed approach to the material which perfectly suited the story.
Great ending!

Five and a half interesting chapters ruined by ditching the scientific method and claiming that the august body known as the UN says humans are triggering the sixth extinction event. A claim unsullied by the least attempt to provide an hypothesis.
So from one moment refering to the 170 million years of the era of non avian dinosaurs to citing the less than 30 years of climate change carpetbaggers. Disappointing.

Liat the voice actor brings this fine novel alive. I learned modern Hebrew as an adult and found myself both stretched and stimulated by this edition. I guess I could find an English edition but where is the fun in that? Bravo Ram Oren and Brava Liat. Toda!
