What a beautiful, heartingly, written book, which captures so many internal scripts we walk around with every day, often unwittingly, and showing us what can happen if we consider of those scripts are true for us, and what type of a life we might live. The language choices are beautifully powerful and speak straight to the subconscious, to bring old held patterns to the light of consciousness considerations, where we can make our world a better place for ourselves and others as a consequence. A must read for every husband to understand their wife’s programming, and especially for fathers of girls; may we know the scripts and change them with our children. Thank you Glennon and everyone around you, for observing, sharing, and making space for us all to grow. Your gifts and impact are immense.

An enthralling and captivating tale unlike anything I’ve ever read, which also tugged at a few reflective cords of my own, and teleported me to a life lived in an era or two before my time. Just divine. A read for every woman.

Just love. Loved it.

There was parts I listened to over and over just to let the seemingly simple yet often sidelined concepts sink in. I’ve no doubt I’ll read this book annually, and love it more each time. Thank you, Brene and team, for your insights, your pursuits, and your sharing. Thank you.

Kudos to you, Dave Hollis; such a powerful recount of what a path to get to the starting line of a fulfilling life of growth looks like, and acknowledging those seemingly little (but actually gigantic) things that stand so cleary in your way when you have the courage to do the work, ‘see’ them, and ‘move’, even when you don’t feel like it. It is an absolute honour to have seen you rise in the last two years, and read the tale in your compelling and powerfully simple book. A must read for anyone wanting to create a fulfilling life, and reach for more. Kudos.

Brilliant. Encouraging. Enlivening.

Truly the most wonderful words to consume over breakfast. This book is kind of like having your best friend over for breakfast, and her reading your mind to you like it’s all there on a platter. I guess that’s why Brene studies grounded theories - because they’re based on lived experiences. I’ve been fascinated by belonging for a long time, but interestingly came to this book because I’d put it in my Audible wishlist a long time ago, then while downloading books for our snow trip, I was purchasing Cheryl Strayed’s ‘Wild’, and conversing on bravery, journeys, and creating written works with Anthia Koullouros, and it seemed fitting to buy and download this too. Whoa. What a gift for a soon-to-be author. Thank you, Brene. The tears flowed. The insights deep. And I’ve been in a little bunker for a couple of years myself 😉 - god bless husbands who understand and respond lovingly. If you aren’t sure if you’ll love this book, perhaps listen to the preview on @amazon/@audible, and go from there. If you’re a creator or ANY kind, I suspect you’ll love it, and it’ll put an extra dose of courage behind your next creation.

I just could not put this down, or rather, couldn’t wait for another opening in time to turn the audio back on. This book is a brilliant account of some of the seemingly simple but often complex things life can throw at us and how they can really get in the way of having an awesome life. The selection of topics and ‘lies’ curated here seem eclectic, but are brilliant and significant, and also show the web of how one experience can trigger another, especially if not dealt with. This is my first book of Rachel Hollis’, and I can’t wait to dive into more. Will be recommending this to my ambitious friends and fellow business owners. Loved it. Thank you Rachel. R

I also love the plain English style of his books, which make them so easy to listen to and absorb the valuable insights. I actually recommended this book to many people before I even finished it! Thanks Dan, looking forward to another book shortly.

What an incredible book and story of the becoming of an incredible human. I enjoyed learning so much from this book. As Michelle suggests, may open our doors more, and bring people together, rather than focusing on dividing them. An intense and major contribution she and her family made to society during their time in office. Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your story, and connecting. Rx
