The autobiography of Jimmy Barnes up until he forms Cold Chisel as a teenager. Discusses the poverty and violence that he came from and how it has shaped his life. An inspiration to many of how you can overcome your childhood to become a better person.

I really like Joy Ellis as an author. I love the Jackman and Evans books. This book was a little disappointing. I liked the story...with the twist at the end, but the narration was not enjoyable. The narrator has a lovely reading voice but her accents were very grating on the ears. I nearly stopped after the first 10 minutes but glad I endured. However, I won't be listening to other books in this series.

I love Richard Armitage's narration of anything, but especially Joy Ellis's Jackman and Evans novels. Always a great story with beloved characters.

A story about 5 college friends who return for their 15 year reunion. Interesting dynamics, varying relationships. Lots of jargon and if you are not au fait with it, you lose a little in the translation. Not really sure how the crime fits into the story. Seems like it was just thrown in there for good measure. The thinly veiled reference to the president was amusing.

I enjoyed the story. Kept you on the edge of your seat. I liked the ending. Couldn't see the need for 2 narrators. Preferred the male narrator.

I was a little sceptical. I like modern crime but this was set centuries ago. I enjoyed the history brought to life and the insight into what life was like. So interesting to realise what little knowledge physicians had as to how the body actually works.

From the start I could not stand the author reading this book. Her reading is stilted and does not flow at all. I found it a very strange story.

I enjoyed this book very much. I love the author's writing style and the narrator did a great job. Will definitely read more of Rachel John's books.
