came for rc bray left loving this new series. extremely well designed storyline. the firearm mechanics are a bit meh but passable dozens of shocking reveal that you were sure you had figured out but hadn't. coming from an atheist author did a great job of making the religious aspects neutral. read/listened to about 300 novels at this point and for quality of story and writing this is easily in my top 5.

one of the best.

good book good story the only thing that mildly annoys me is the wikipedia weapon descriptions. gets the names right but fumbles on the operations......because a marine checkpoint would have a stinger let alone dumb fire a weapon that cannot be dumb fired at a technical....and wtaf is a m260.....I digress, this wont bother 99% of you but for ex servicemen it can be a bit cringy. besides that you want regret getting into this series.

good story but the military refrences were very "i used google" and everytime he describes a weapon anyone who knows better will cringe. doesnt break the book but it does hurt it especially with very similir books out there that are written by ex servicemen or at least consulted. one big props is to his accuracy with the science side of things but bieng a military man myself the previously mentioned did wreck parts of the book for me.

my least favourite of the series so far, not through any fault of the author or performer just not my cup of tea, much slower then previous books but had a satisfactory story and ending.

good author, his primordia series braught me here and I wasnt disappointed, although he could use some better advisors on the military tech and jargon "m60 machine cannon?" I've heard the old gpm pigs called a lot of things that's a first for me but that's literally the only fault I can pick.

breath of fresh air.

well written and well performed, a modernised relatively scientifically accurate retelling of the lost world, a breath of fresh air into the adventure genre couldnt recommend enough.
