Five years ago Corin Cadence's brother entered the Serpent Spire - a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire's trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire's goddess. He never returned. Now it's Corin's turn. He's headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

I was hooked from the first minute. At times it did provide too much detail or move a bit too slow but that didn't impact my overall engagement in the great storyline.

Inside you is a deep capacity for connection to nature, your ancestors, and the limitless wisdom and creativity you touch every night in your dreams. Yet in this modern age filled with distraction and anxiety, how do you restore your connection to these primal resources for living with power and purpose? "We are all bound together by a symphony of blood and bone", teaches John Lockley, one of the few white men in recent history to become a fully initiated sangoma - traditional priest and healer - in the Xhosa lineage of South Africa.

This is my first experience with Shamanic practice and I am overwhelmed with how amazing it feels. I looked at a lot of authors and practicing Shaman before I settled on John. I thoroughly recommend buying this.

I have been feeling very powerless and without control. This is really helping to regain that control, to regain that perspective.

Fossil fuels and livestock grazing are often targeted as major culprits behind climate change and desertification. But Allan Savory, cofounder of the Savory Institute, begs to differ. The bigger problem, he warns, is our mismanagement of resources. Livestock grazing is not the problem; it's how we graze livestock. If we don't change the way we approach land management, irreparable harm from climate change could continue long after we replace fossil fuels.

This book breaks down some seriously damaging myths about environmental management. Having studied Environmental science 10 years ago and again now, I hadn't come across his ideas in mainstream science. BUT, they should be taught to all Environmental and Agriculture majors throughout the world. This book is a game changer.
