More of The Witcher is always a good thing, but this definitely isn't Sapkowski's greatest work. Perhaps if I was new to the series, this fairly meaningless interlude would have been more engaging.

Sapkowski clearly draws from folktales in his works, however he puts such a refreshing spin on them that you hardly notice.
Kenny delivers a great performance but bear in mind his mispronunciation of Dandelion can be a little bit annoying.

The performance can be slightly inconsistent with the timing of breaks between sessions made obvious by the narrators volume and strength of voice suddenly being boosted at the turn of chapters.
This does nothing to distract from the story however, which is fantastic and has me desperate for the second book already.

Whilst the story didn't grab me like the first installment in the series, the performance was still terrific and easy to listen to.

I loved this book when I read it, finding it very difficult to stay engaged with the audiobook though. Kramer provided an above average performance but I found Reading's contribution flat, definitely not her best work.

An enthralling narrative from Hobb. The reader was strong but the audio seems to change from session to session which can break the immersion every half dozen chapters or so.

There's a few errors to be edited out but that's really nitpicking.
A great performance of a great new series, can't wait for the follow-up.

A truly great fantasy series and brilliant narrator to boot. My only negative thought is dwelling on the fact that it's over.
