loved the story
narrator wasn't able to alter voice adequately and sometimes confusing as to who was talking, but a gentle voice nonetheless which is what the story needed. loved and hated the relevant characters equally...well depicted.
scenery and descriptions were (cannot claim accurate as I haven't been to any of the places) elaborately and creatively both beautiful and grotesque respectively.
love Fionas writing and stories...looking forward to getting through all her novels.
Thank you to all who aided and contributed to her great accomplishment.

what a lovely story with humour and life like descriotions on all levels..moved to tears on multiple occasions by the increible atrocities and the devastating long term effects on all who went through that horrendous, albeit born of good intentions, system...tragic and punishable acts sadly too late ... offenders mostly dead!!!

In Alberta, Canada, an eminent paleontologist disappears from a dinosaur dig site, and at the Cambridge Forensic Center, Kay Scarpetta receives a grisly communication that gives her a dreadful reason to suspect this may become her next case. Then, with shocking speed, events begin to unfold.

A body recovered from Boston Harbor reveals bizarre trace evidence hinting of a link to other unsolved cases that seem to have nothing in common. Who is behind all this? And whom can Scarpetta trust?

I have almost finished all of the books in the Scarpetta series. I have thoroughly enjoyed them.
now getting through the JD Robb series...just as much fun. well...quite tense at times but cannot stop listening!
Lorelei King is the BEST narrator for the series and I get quite annoyed when there are other narrators with raspy voices I have to listen to...you see...desperate to hear the content, but then get irritated with the narration (if not Lorelei King)
I will now go back and rate the other ones...all 5 stars...but won't be writing any reviews...this is for ALL Patricia Cornell's Scarpetta books.
