I really enjoyed this series. Nut Jobs not only follows the story of a series of strange and surprising crimes but looks into the past, present and future of agriculture in California's Central Valley and how it impacts the world. An interesting and fascinating listen. Marc Fennell is also entertaining to listen to even if you don't normally enjoy investigative journalism.

Overall an enjoyable book. The characters definitely fit into overused tropes and plot is somewhat predictable. Despite this I liked the book and probably would listen to more by this author. Narrator was good and did a great job at distinguishing the character voices from each other.

I really enjoyed listening to this series. It's not just about breeding the world's hottest chillies; it delves into the psychology of what drives people to live the lives they do and made me question some of my own life decisions. Thought provoking.
