Yes it’s bog standard mil sci-fi. Boys own type stuff but it’s so well written and performed. I bought it ages ago and having nothing else to listen to fired it up then once into it I didn’t stop till it was done. I have to admit to even being moved close to tears a couple of times. But don’t tell anyone.

Pretty standard post incident but very character led

First off I love RC Brays work. But in this you would swear you were listening to a cast perform the piece. It’s some of his best work. The story is pretty standard post apocalyptic incident faire but very character driven and very empathetic in the way it’s written. Quite awesome. I finished the first and bought the second. Didn’t even wait for a credit and that’s saying something:)

So I got these on a bit of a whim. I do that sometimes. And I have to say it’s just right. The character are a little 2D and comical but that’s what I was looking for. There is the tiniest bit of sexual content but tiny tiny. And it’s also serious but only enough to set up the next joke. It’s pretty much perfect. Good solid sci fi tropes with good solid humour. Buying the next and I’ll keep going until it gets repetitive which after listening to book one and then two it’s not. I’ll let you know after I finish book three. It’s downloading as we chat. This is chatting I didn’t know if you knew. Anyway must dash see you soon.

So it’s a bit on the weirder side for someone who in all intense and purposes is not of that leaning but horses for courses and what a dull world this would be if we were all the same but (second but) it’s a engrossing story and quite well told with an outstanding message I can get fully behind. Each to there own and why not share. As they say on yo Gabba Gabba try it you might like it.... chances are they mean broccoli but you get what I mean.

Wasn’t fond of Tim’s voice but I’m guessing it’s based on someone he knows :)

Yahtzee has a special way of reading but it grows on you :) very good day ale on the apocalypse setting with some excellent laugh out loud scenes. I really enjoyed it and will be trying his other works with my next credit.

If you buy the kindle book and then get this with it you can save a lot. I got the book for 1.49 and the audio for 2.49. Anyway. RC does an outstanding job and we see the next stages for the keepers and forces on Paradise. Great story. It was mostly over half way when I realised that all the main characters were female and the male characters were supporting at best. Great work.

Another amazing instalment read with such energy and joy. Get sci fi. Yes Joe is the most unlucky and unfortunate individual in the galaxy BUT in this chapter we get to see more of the elders and higher tier species. Really great and I can’t wait for the next one later this year

So Audible just emailed me

"Are you enjoying your book? Would you like to swap it for something else?"

oh I thought I've finished this I could get a new book ... then I paused .. maybe if I do that then they will think I didn't like it so instead I'm here...

I won't be swapping this even tho I'm finished.

Its an amazing follow on from part one. Ray Porter is fantastic as Bob and the other characters... Can't remember if its in this book or book three but an Irish scientist is introduced and the voice is great. Also his voicing of the Bobs is so great you can tell them apart and as they live their "life" and events affect them you can hear it in his performance... simply great.. RC Bray has a competitor :)

The far science of the bobiverse is compelling and believable.

Give it a couple of months and I will be back to be read the trilogy again... (Although in my mind the third book is the weakest it still closed things down nicely)

Skippy!

Bray is amazing as Joe Skippy and the crew. I love these stories. They are very boys own but that’s cool.
