I loved it. Not a detective story but a touch of mystery. Well read very enjoyable. Will look for more Jill child’s books now

I was really enjoying this book and although I was expecting a twist there was nothing in the storyline that might lead you towards this ending which was so unpredictable and frankly too obscure it split my enjoyment of the whole story.

Liked the theme but poor presentation

I nearly tossed the book in the first five minutes because of the ultrafast expressionless narrative. The “ voices” were better. I tried again and as I enjoyed the story line I persevered.

Great unusual story. More love story than thriller. Beautifully read. Confusing at first but it slowly unravelled its secrets becoming clear.

I was looking forward to this book, but found it a struggle to get to the end. Definitely not addictive, well I finished it only because the reader had a pleasant voice

I’m glad Annabel read this herself; it made it more poignant and believable knowing how well she knows “The System” and we can rely on her research. I as a professional woman (anaesthetist) with unreliable working hours provided the income while my husband a retired dairy farmer provided most of the childcare did the cooking home repairs gardening and provided our capital growth after selling the farm. One of the few!
