The Greek myths are amongst the greatest stories ever told, passed down through millennia and inspiring writers and artists as varied as Shakespeare, Michelangelo, James Joyce and Walt Disney. They are embedded deeply in the traditions, tales and cultural DNA of the West. You'll fall in love with Zeus, marvel at the birth of Athena, wince at Cronus and Gaia's revenge on Ouranos, weep with King Midas and hunt with the beautiful and ferocious Artemis.

This it a beautiful retelling of the classical Greek Myths, put in words that not only make it understandable but also captivating. A must for anyone who has an interest or dabbles in Mythology. This book would make a tremendous opener for a series of books that retold the myths of the world, alas however I am not aware of any such plans. None the less a tremendous read, written and performed by a consummate professional.

What did you like most about Panzer Commander?

This was a great insight into WWII from the other side.

It is not often that we in the Allied countries get to hear a story from the Axis point of view. Quite an eye opener at times, and it reinforces the point that the average German Soldier was just a normal person like all our grandfathers.

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Great Story that blends superbly into the Star Wars universe, this tale lacks for nothing and it was refreshing to not have a Jedi, or a Light Sabre duel anywhere to be seen... Vastly superior to the movie (and I loved the movie), a really great read even for those not fussed by the Star Wars Universe.

Lawrence is the sergeant of a washed-out platoon taking part in the bungled invasion of yet another human colony world. The giant corporations call such campaigns 'asset realization', but in practice it's simple piracy. When he's on the ground, being shot at and firebombed by resistance forces, he recalls stories of the Temple of the Fallen Dragon. Its priests supposedly guard a treasure hoard large enough to buy lifelong happiness.

What does John Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

John Lee is the voice of the Hamilton Novels, and as always perfect for the job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes if only I had the time to do so...

A superb story that encompasses several storylines in the way that only Peter F Hamilton can. the depth of detail is up to Hamilton's usual par, with characters that are all well developed and likeable.
This story blends both sides, good guys and bad in such a way as you find it hard to choose which side you the reader is on, finding yourself constantly switching loyalties until the very end.
