A great book with very interesting content... somewhat ruined by the narrated, staccato (stop start) performance.

Would have been 5/5 if it wasn’t for the inter chapter conversations (added nothing to the story and felt forced).

Some very useful content here... couldn’t get past around 1/3rd through it though given the delivery. The regular asides and unscripted parts became very annoying very quickly.

Some very useful advice for those looking to give up drinking for good. The premise however that alcoholism is a chronic disease (with you for life) is unproven. The belief in such provides people with a ready made excuse should they fail. Addiction, and recovery from it, is more about your circumstances and environment than the chemical hooks. Once you understand why you drink, and are committed to your own reasons for stopping, the chemical hooks part is the easy part to address.

Bought this Audiobook as research for a project I’m working on around addiction. The content on food and alcohol marketing was very enlightening.
