Great Read But A So-So Listen

I really like this story and these characters, and I became invested in their struggles, but I was a bit put off by the narration. I got used to it eventually but Alexander Cendese's voice sounded so forced and his voice for the female character was borderline insulting making her seem very ditzy when she wasn't. Also - the book ends earlier than expected and a second story is tacked on the end. So be warned there's even less time to truly get lost in this story than you think there is!

I highly recommend this for both a great story and a great narration. This book is in the middle of the Rosemary Beach though and for the most enjoyment I'd suggest reading / listening to the books in order.

This story is great fun. It manages to be both sweet and saucy through the great writing. This is Insta-Love but the characters are well developed and likeable, and even though it's short - only novella length - it's still a detailed enough story to become involved in the outcome. It's harmless happy fun. I really enjoyed it.

I'm a big Abbi Glines fan but I've found it hard to connect with her books outside of the Rosemary Beach series. But I LOVED this one! The first book in this series did a good job of setting the scene but this book developed so much in terms of characterization and storytelling that it's far superior. I liked the dual narration and like getting to know a new male protagonist. I highly recommend this.

I will be returning this book right after posting this. I've tried to listen to this book for a month and haven't made it to half-way yet. The story is non-existent and the narration by the woman is boring, and man had such a broad accent that I couldn't take him seriously. It's like he was trying to be the stereotypical movie mobster. DNF.

Fun insta-love.

Let's be honest - this no great literary work. But it is a fun, harmless (and at times sexy) read that's really enjoyable when not taken too seriously. The majority of the story takes place when the primary characters are in high school so the age of the characters are a bit younger than the typical Alexa Riley story, but it also makes it sweeter and I really enjoyed that element.

This is the second book in Woods and Della's love story and it truly gives them the ending they deserve. The amazing narration really brings them to life as they chase healing and a future.

This is my favourite duet of books within the Rosemary Beach series. I love seeing people with mental / emotional / physical disabilities represented in books and treated with such respect by the author. I love it even more when it a romance and they get loved in return.

Great combination.

After a good first book in the series, and a wonderful second, this book is a nice and comprehensive ending to the story. I'm glad that she chose to end the series here because I'm not sure there was anywhere more to go. This hit the sweet spot of satisfaction and wanting more.
