Sad, wild and worth it! Epic battle that had many costs and kept you on the edge of your.... whatever you listen on! Great to hear the return of much better production values and voicing I remember. James Marsters is certainly back on game.

Clearly only the start of this phase in Harry’s adventure - but everyone already knows that! Editing was a little off with some very clear over dubbing but it doesn’t detract from the story. The bizarre change in voice for Ramirez and Mab really DOES jar you out if the story - especially Mab who now sounds more like Mother Winter or even Mavra? Maybe there’s a reason ( I’m sincerely hoping Ramirez wasn’t altered because of some misguided political correctness) otherwise it’s still more Harry and that’s worth it

I listened on a lark, then couldn’t stop. Brett’s world building is intricate and careful, slowly revealing this world. The narrator’s clipped style takes a little getting used to and occasionally voices are a little hard to distinguish, but he does convey the story well

The story is a terrific introduction to this series. It’s a pity the next three aren’t available in Australia. It seems I’ll be giving my money to someone else.

Having read this many of the Mercy Thompson stories it’s clear I’m hooked. My only reservation is Lorelei’s man voices are a little creepy. It’s a pity because her Mercy is a delight. Still, it won’t stop me listening!

This was certainly a great way to fill in some gaps while we wait. Particular credit for the stories of Molly’s experiences - unexpectedly gut wrenching. The final chapter was a cracker and exceptionally well performed.
