Theres a lot of cricket bit it's not a story about cricket. I don't watch or follow the game and hesitated to get started on this book, big mistake on my part.
The authors style is visceral, the protagonist is palpable in my mouth, my body, my hands. Well executed journey into a very Australian expirience. I'm looking forward to the rest of Jock Serong's catalogue.

The book is easy to follow and as the reader moves through the content, the concept of good cooking begins to form. The narrator's passion for food shines, I didn't give the 5th star for performance as at times I felt more excited than she did, I suspect thats the difference beetwen a novice and an old hat. For me cooking was a complicated subject that I took on recepie by recepie, thanks to the book I have gained the broad prespective required to be confident in the kitchen. I love cooking, took a chance on this book and it paid off.

The book presents a number of relatable case studies demonstrating the authors practiced application of coaching skills complemented by her excellent emotional intelligence. She is very good at getting to the core of peoples problems in a short period of time. This was an authentic emotional ride. Happy to hand over my hard earned, thank you.

Like a cheap ozito drill from Bunnings boreing through my ear canal, John Safran's voice drills a signature style of gonzo journalism into my sheltered life leaving me with the associated brain damage one would expect when engaging in these cheap thrills. There are worse ways to spend a couple of hours, do yourself a favour and let him mush your mind.

Well presented with an ear pleasing narrator. This story and the many like it are raw and at times difficult to hear.

The narrator is "Fat Tony" from the Simpsons, this alone makes it a pleasure listening to what is an epic tale of love, loyalty, betrayel and murder. I have never seen the movies and I had no intention of reading or listening to the book until it showed up in the daily deal, that was a mistake, I should have enjoyed this tale much sooner. The story has certainly left an impression on me, the author makes the reader feel like they are in the thick of the adventure. Highly recommended!
