Loved this book from start to finish. As always, an audiobook read by the author is a winner for me. I’ve listened to all Chris’s previous books, but somehow this one was especially engaging.
Following the main character Jake’s life for a few months, and seeing how his new side businesses were the start of a pathway to financial independence and better control of his future was enlightening and entertaining.
If you’re interested in earning a few extra dollars on the side, then this book might inspire you just enough to get started.

This book began well as the author was the narrator. Who doesn’t want to be happier? Hugh van Cuylenburg used a mix of personal experience and evidence based research findings to devise his GEM happiness programme. Gratitude, Empathy (kindness to others) and Mindfulness are the keys to this approach. It is being successfully used to improve the mental health of school children, elite athletes and now more broadly. This was an entertaining and informative listen.

I love that this book is read by the author. There is a lot of information in this book, enough to warrant a second listen. The book has a huge variety of real life stories about people who’ve actually put their side hustle ideas into action. The book will inspire you.

As with all audiobooks, I wish the author had read it.
However, this story was amazing, it drew me in & took me into the author’s tumultuous world. Tara Westover is an educated survivor, who chooses her own truth in her life journey.
I found this a fabulous listen.

This book is read by the author, which I love. It is a great inspirational/ motivational book, a story of set backs and success of the Australian social enterprise “thankyou”. While personally I have an issue with the sale of bottled water, for environmental reasons, I think the company’s ethos overall is admirable. This book challenges you to think how you can positively impact the world.

Slow is beautifully written and narrated by the author (a BIG factor in my choice of audiobooks these days). In her honest account of how living with “intention” has enriched her day to day activities, Brooke gently encourages you to make small changes towards a slower, more thoughtful and rich life. With lots of practical suggestions along the way, this book gives the reader “permission” to go against the so called norms of our society, so that we can live a more meaningful, healthy and satisfying life. A fantastic listen.
