Not many books have had me chocking back tears and not many audiobooks I finish in 3 days, yet both are true in this case. If you have heard any of Megan's interviews, you will be familiar with the general outline of the story, however Megans has a way with words that shines brightest in this form. As someone who has experienced radical shifts in belief, I found this book to be personally familar, yet our stories have little in common from a surface level. Megan has an incredible ability to help people see the human part of humanity. Yes even the people I once hated. I finish this book with sympathy for the victims of the WBT as well as (somewhat surprisingly) the members of that church, cruel indoctrination guided by honest conclusions based on faulty assumptions. I hope this story touches people like it did me.

I hated all the simple language and emotional stories at first but by the end, I understood why they were there. This isn’t the book that will help you format spread sheets or understand complex economic concepts (which is what I thought I wanted), it’s actually far more valuable. It is simple enough for anyone to understand, but more importantly demonstrates that getting on top of your finances is actually simple (spreadsheets and such are not necessary) I got the audio version, my wife got the paper version. She skimmed the book over a week, I blasted the entire book at 2X speed over a 4 hour car ride. We are now going back for a second more in depth read where we follow the steps as layer out. A great book for anyone

A really good start

Really good for someone who wants to get a basic understanding of the human brain. Really enjoyable
