This story line was definitely a bit predictable, with a small twist at the end, but beautifully written.
JoJo Moyes always writes in a believable way and draws you in with her characters. I found this book a bit hard to get into but persevered I'm glad to say.
The narration was quite good but I do think that something is lost when the narrator has to do male and female characters.
it wasn't JoJo's best book but still fairly enjoyable.

loved it. Written really well. couldn't stop listening. Very moving at times. Romance, horses, kids all woven into a really gripping story but one that didn't lack authenticity.

Have really enjoyed this series. I didn't want it to end and never meet the characters again! Great story, great characters and set in the wild and windswept Hebrides.

narrator was good. the story was bizarre and very confronting in places (several rape scenarios ). it ended with me being no more enlightened as to what was really going on than i was at the beginning! judging by some of the forums on line that i turned to in complete confusion, most people felt the same! in fairness to the author, it could be that it was such a complex story that it lost a lot in audio. it was probably the sort of book that needed rereading in many places!
