The best book I have read for ages. Absolutely loved it. Loved the voices, loved the story. Just about to buy some more Kate Atkinson titles.

A very different style. It took me about one hour to get used to the narrator and then I was hooked! It is a strange mesmerising listen, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The narration of this book was so bad - had a tinny sound and very poor quality - so much so that it was distracting fdrom the book.

I’m horrified to think that other nationalities hear our Australian accent as it is spoken by this narrator! He has got it completely wrong and it detracted from my enjoyment of the book.

Does anyone in America actually talk like that?!! Good story but hard to listen to.

Too weird for me. I read for relaxation or education and this is neither. Didn't finish.

A great book with current topics for the times. As usual an amazing performance by Clare Colbert. Couldn't stop listening!

What disappointed you about The Tea Planter's Wife?

Very slow moving and very predictable . So boring and trite I couldn't finish it.

Would you ever listen to anything by Dinah Jefferies again?

No!

What didn’t you like about Avita Jay’s performance?

Dreadful "pommy" voice.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Tea Planter's Wife?

All of them.

Weird but riveting

Wonderful voice and a very strange story. I did enjoy it, but didn't find it very relaxing - which is the reason I listen to Audible.

What would have made Leaving Time better?

A little more excitement in the readers' voices.

What could Jodi Picoult have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Left out some of the repetition about elephants. Sure its about grief, but sooo miserable for the entire book.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

No.
