Story
In his own words, the heavyweight champion of the world pulls no punches as he chronicles the battles he faced in and out of the ring in this fascinating memoir edited by Nobel Prize-winning novelist, Toni Morrison. Growing up in the South, surrounded by racial bigotry and discrimination, Ali fought not just for a living, but also for respect and rewards far more precious than money or glory. He was named Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated and the BBC.

This autobiography is truly captivating and will leave you wanting to know even more about the man who became a legend and the undisputed heavyweight GOAT.
The voice acting is brilliant, providing an atmosphere and level to the story that sucks you in and makes you believe that you are really listening to the great man himself.
Exploring the racial and political aspects of Ali's career, this book gives you an insight into what drove him to make the decisions he made with his career and personal life and what drove him relentlessly forward to earning the World Heavyweight champion title.
A great listen, can not recommend enough.

Story
After the sudden death of her husband, Sheryl Sandberg felt certain that she and her children would never feel pure joy again. 'I was in "the void,"' she writes, 'a vast emptiness that fills your heart and lungs and restricts your ability to think or even breathe.' Her friend Adam Grant, a psychologist at Wharton, told her there are concrete steps people can take to recover and rebound from life-shattering experiences. We are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. It is a muscle that everyone can build.

Great book up emotionally heavy

This is a great book to learn some tactics and strategies to overcome adversity and building resilience in a framework of grieving.
I would highly recommend this for people who are learning to deal with grief due to the loss of a loved one or helping someone who has lost a loved one.
Some of the strategies and tactics can carry over to other aspects of facing adversity and building resilience but this book offers little in situation examples other then in the context of loss of a loved one.
The book is quite emotional and could potentially be triggering for some people - I personally had some nights of rough sleeping thinking about the concept of loss and grief.

I am late to jump on the Tim Ferriss band wagan but this man is amazing as is this book.
It is super easy to follow and to learn from - imparting some really basic yet effective ways to launch your own side hustle.
I took these lessons and was able to implement my own project - did it work, no - but it felt amazingly empowering knowing that this is not something mystical that is beyond the realms of my power and I just need to keep trying to find the right idea.
Highly recommend.

When Autobiography of a Yogi first appeared in 1946, it was acclaimed as a landmark work in its field. The New York Times hailed it as "a rare account". Newsweek pronounced it "fascinating". The San Francisco Chronicle declared, "Yogananda presents a convincing case for yoga, and those who 'came to scoff' may remain 'to pray." Today it is still one of the most widely read and respected books ever published on the wisdom of the East.

This is a great book! Sir Ben Kingsley does an amazing job of narrating the the life of Yogananda.
The story itself is very very interesting and the lessons convey are interwoven into the story of Yogananda's life but also explicitly told in other parts.
Some areas did become a bit dull at times but this was few and far beyond in this 12hr + book.
Would recommend.

Story
A Short History of Nearly Everything is Bill Bryson's quest to understand everything that has happened from the Big Bang to the rise of civilization. He takes subjects that normally bore the pants off most of us, like geology, chemistry, and particle physics, and aims to render them comprehensible to people who have never thought they could be interested in science. In the company of some extraordinary scientists, Bill Bryson reveals the world in a way most of us have never seen it before.

Any additional comments?
This book is VERY science heavy - it covers a history of the world (literally the planet and universe) in terms of Chemistry, physics, biology and every science inbetween and beyond.
Has some interesting bits of trivia and facts but also has very long spells technical jargon which I just couldn't stay alert too.
Overall an alright book but would not recommend unless you are wanting to learn heaps of science trivia that you might remember inbetween long spells of sleepiness.
