Story
Mankind has lorded over the land of Illian for a thousand years, building on the ruins left by the elves, as if it were their birthright. A thousand years is a long time for an immortal race to see the truth of things, a truth that has remained unsaid for a millennium - elves are superior. They are faster, stronger, and connected to the magical realm in a way that man could never grasp. Illian should belong to them.

Slow basic storyline, poor narration

The storyline was a little too basic and was let down by poor a narrator whose lack of inflection when speaking as a character often left it confusing as to when one character stopped and another started.

unfortunately the story lines isnt set before it introduces long languishing names and places exotic gibberish titles of rulers, mages and adepts that becomes a mishmash of confusing codswallop. shame, so much potential but lost interest.

In Stephen King's mesmerizing new masterpiece - his biggest, most riveting novel since The Stand - a Maine town and its inhabitants are isolated from the world by an invisible, impenetrable dome. Celebrated storyteller Stephen King returns to his roots in this tour de force featuring more than 100 characters - some heroic, some diabolical - and a supernatural element as baffling and chilling as any he's ever conjured.

Good story terrible narrator!
Reviewed: 07-02-2017
Good story but far from classic stephen king. The story laboured at points however overall was ok. The narrator was dismal. His voice characterisations fluctuated between dirty harry, stoned surfer dude, colonel Sanders and jerry lewis' retarded child's voice from the nutty professor. His next narration should be limited to sign language.

I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day.
