Story
Prince of Thorns is the first volume in a powerful new epic fantasy trilogy, original, absorbing and challenging. Before the thorns taught me their sharp lessons and bled weakness from me I had but one brother, and I loved him well. But those days are gone and what is left of them lies in my mother's tomb. Now I have many brothers, quick with knife and sword, and as evil as you please. We ride this broken empire and loot its corpse.

A well-written but grizzly story

I kept hoping there would be some redeeming feature to our hero but it was an ongoing chamber of horrors. Steven king eat your heart out. If you are not bothered by homage to blood an gore and the basest instincts of man, this is your story. That aside, I have to complement the author on his skill in story telling . Well crafted and the narration is excellent.

Absolutely fantastic! 9.9 out of ten! Would have been a 10/10 if it was updated to include the last 10 years.

I really enjoyed this history. It was engagingly told and full of detail that really provided a 'picture' of China's history of the past few decades.
